Incorporated in 1912, St Francis Wood was the first planned unit development west of the state of Delaware. It was designed and advertised as the city’s first residential park. The majority of homes were built during the 1920’s and 1930’s in styles ranging from stately Spanish Colonials, grand Mediterranean mansions to charming Tudor cottages.
